Yamaha PSR-EW310: New Portable Keyboard in Entry-level Segment

With the PSR-EW310 Portable Keyboard, Yamaha is expanding the PSR-EW series with the successor model of the PSR-EW300, which aims to make it easy for beginners and ambitious hobby musicians to enter the world of electric keyboards.

Equipped with an LCD backlit display for better representation, and this new entry-level keyboard is a 76-key version which also available in the 61-key version. 

With the larger Yamaha piano keyboard, the PSR-EW310 is aimed at keyboardists with pianists’ ambitions. The other features are: velocity-sensitive and contain 622 sounds, 205 accompaniment styles, and 153 preset songs. The sound can be refined with new reverb effects and a master equalizer. 

The learning function “Keys to success” helps with practice. Like the other Yamaha instruments, the PSR-EW310 also has a USB interface that can transmit audio as well as MIDI data. So you can record your game directly as an audio recording on your computer. 

The PSR-EW310 also offers 205 accompaniment styles that provide real-time band backing tracks based on the chords you play. It also includes Smart Chord technology is allowing players to achieve complex chord voicings with only a few fingers. An arpeggiator further expands the keyboard’s versatility.

The keyboard also comes with built-in amplifiers and speakers allow you to perform without additional gear, while the headphone output provides for private practice or playing. All basic effects including reverb, delay, and chorus enhance the sounds of the instrument, and a dedicated piano button and a damper pedal input deliver an authentic piano sound.

Yamaha PSR-EW310 Portable Keyboard is now available to pre-order on the Bhphotovideo.com website for $269.99 for 76-Key and $199.99 for the 61-Key version.

Earlier this year at NAMM 2020, Yamaha USA has introduced the Sonogenic SHS-300 keyboard controller with mini keys, designed to give young musicians the ability to play favorite music regardless of their musical ability.
