With the Xperia 10 VI, Sony presents an unusual mid-range smartphone that weighs just 164 grams despite its waterproof casing and Gorilla Glass Victus. With a 48 MP dual camera and a modern Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, the smartphone offers interesting features.
In addition to the Sony Xperia 1 VI, Sony introduced the Xperia 10 VI today, a unique mid-range smartphone known for its durability. Its waterproof, IP68-certified casing and Gorilla Glass Victus make it extremely robust.
It has a 6.1-inch OLED display in 21:9 format, offering a resolution of 2,520 x 1,080 pixels but only a 60Hz fps. The 8 MP f/2.0 selfie camera, mirroring the display, carries over directly from the previous model. Furthermore, the 48 MP f/1.8 main camera, which boasts OIS and utilizes a 1/2-inch sensor, marks a significant upgrade. Meanwhile, it is now paired exclusively with an 8 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera that features a diminutive 1/4-inch sensor. Additionally, the decision to replace the Xperia 10 V’s dedicated telephoto camera with digital zoom signifies a notable shift in design philosophy.
The new model boasts the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and, additionally, offers extended update support. Moreover, the Xperia 10 VI, launching with Android 14, will get three major updates and four years of security support.
