Xiaomi has rolled out the Redmi A5 in the UK; consequently, it is being positioned as a budget-friendly option. Moreover, the Redmi A5 price makes it one of the more accessible choices on the market. In addition, the phone is expected to come in up to eight different variants.

Xiaomi Redmi A5 Price and Availability
Amazon already offered the mobile phone in the US starting at $129.99, and it has now launched the device in the UK as well. Customers in the UK can order the smartphone from Amazon.co.uk for a starting price of £59. For this price, customers get the Redmi A5 with just 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage—for £20 more, the RAM measures 4 GB, and the internal storage is twice as large. It is available in Lake Green, Midnight Black, Ocean Blue, and Sandy Gold.

Specifications
The Redmi A5 price and RAM indicate that the device’s features are meager. The device also uses the Unisoc T7250 SoC, but it significantly limits performance. While it supports dual SIM functionality, it does not support 5G mobile connections. It features a 6.88-inch display with a resolution of 1,640 x 720 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, and a brightness of 450 cd/m².
The phone weighs 198 grams and is 8.26 millimeters thick. It comes with a 5,200 mAh battery and has a 32-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It not only has a USB Type-C port but also a 3.5-millimeter jack for connecting a wired headset. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side, not in the display.

Xiaomi uses Android 15 as its operating system – specifically the Go variant, which developers have optimized for low-performance systems with limited memory. Affordable smartphones, even from smaller manufacturers, are often available on Amazon. Still, the Redmi A5 is likely only suitable for beginners, or users who primarily use messaging services and phone calls, and generally use less demanding applications.
