After the listing of the Xiaomi Redmi 8a and Redmi Note 8 earlier this month on the B&H store in the US, now the online store has listed the Xiaomi Redmi 8 smartphone in the country. The Redmi 8 is a budget device comes with a 6.22-inch waterdrop notch display, up to 4GB RAM, Dual Rear Cameras and fingerprint sensor.

The Xiaomi Redmi 8 price in USA has been set at $169.99 for the 4GB RAM with a 64GB storage model via Bhphotovideo store and comes in Sapphire Blue – Link and Onyx Black – Link color options.
Xiaomi Redmi 8 Specifications
The Redmi 8 features a 6.22-inch 2.5D curved glass Waterdrop notch display with HD+ (1520 × 720 pixels) resolution, and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 1.95 GHz octa-core processor supported by Snapdragon 439 12nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 505 GPU and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, expandable memory up to 512GB with microSD card.
On the camera front, the device bears a 12-megapixel main camera with a Sony IMX363 sensor, 1.4μm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, 6P lens, Dual PD autofocus, LED flash and comes with AI scene detection for 33 scenes, has a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portrait shots. For selfie, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12μm pixel size, AI selfies, and portrait mode as well as AI face unlock.
The new Redmi device has an Aura Mirror design, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner that comes with splash-resistant coating. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie -based on MIUI 10 out of the box. It packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging and comes with a 10W charger in the box. It supports dual SIM slot with dual standby and for connectivity includes Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C. The device measures 156.48×75.41×9.4mm and weighs 188 grams.
