The Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro were unveiled on October 29 alongside the Xiaomi 15 series, but their global release has not been announced. However, they are now available for purchase outside of China through import options.
Xiaomi introduced the Pad 7 series at the Xiaomi 15 press conference in China. While these Android tablets have not been officially launched globally, they can be ordered from third-party retailers like Giztop.
When importing, be aware of some limitations. Both Android tablets come with Chinese firmware, which, while allowing an English language setting via HyperOS 2, includes some Chinese bloatware and lacks the same experience as a global ROM.
Warranty is another consideration. Giztop offers a reasonable warranty policy, but returns require shipping the tablet back, which can be inconvenient.
Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro price and release date
Pricing for the Xiaomi Pad 7 starts at $359 on Giztop, while the Pad 7 Pro begins at $459. Xiaomi launched them in China at CNY 1,999 (around $280) and CNY 2,499 (around $351), respectively. Import prices run higher, though the global versions may have similar pricing.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 features an 11.2-inch 144 Hz LCD display with a peak brightness of 800 nits. A Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 powers it, along with up to 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. Additional specs include a 13 MP main camera, an 8 MP front camera, an 8,850 mAh battery with 45 W fast charging, USB 3.2 Gen 1, quad speakers, quad mics, and Wi-Fi 6.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, a more premium model, shares many features with the standard Pad 7, including the 11.2-inch display and 8,850 mAh battery. Key upgrades include a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, up to 512 GB storage, 67 W fast charging, a 50 MP main camera, and a 32 MP front camera.
