Xiaomi MIUI 9 Official: Fast, Intelligent, and Interactive

Xiaomi announced a new version of the firmware MIUI 9, which, as expected, focuses on increasing system performance, application launch speed, and overall user experience.

So, Xiaomi introduced the Dynamic Resource Allocation system, which analyzes the scenarios of using the smartphone by its owner and increases the speed of launching the most frequently used applications.

In addition, the manufacturer optimized thread scheduling and CPU acceleration, added cache management, automatic cleaning, and anti-fragmentation, improved the performance of Wi-Fi and cellular networks, and more.

Among other practical features of Xiaomi MIUI 9 – Smart Assistant (it is a smart search system for smartphones: photos, notes, text, etc.), Image Search (sorting and searching for the desired image by certain criteria, for example, people, events, documents, screenshots), Smart App Launcher (launch of the required application depending on the content on the screen). There is also Split-screen mode, but note that some of the new functions will not be available in the international version of the firmware at first roll out.

MIUI 9 Public Release Timeline

Xiaomi MIUI 9 China Developer ROM for Mi 6, Mi 5X, and Redmi Note 4X Qualcomm will be released on August 11 to the public. For Mi MIX, Mi Note 2, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi 5c, Mi Max 2, Mi Max 32G, Mi Max 64G/128G, Mi 4S, Mi 4c, Mi Note Pro, and Redmi 4X will be released on August 25 and for all the other Xiaomi / Redmi devices (except Mi 1/1S and Mi 2A) will be released in late September, 2017.
