Xiaomi has unveiled a new offering for the global market: the Xiaomi G34WQi. This Xiaomi curved gaming monitor 34 inches, featuring a WQHD IPS panel, boasts a rapid 180 Hz refresh rate and a quick 1 ms response time, along with RGB lighting on the back for added aesthetics.
Initially introduced in China as the Redmi Monitor G34WQ, this version marks its global launch under the Xiaomi brand, expanding its availability beyond China.
The Xiaomi G34WQi shares similarities with the available Xiaomi MI 34″ curved gaming monitor in regions like the UK, including the 34-inch size and a 3440 x 1440 pixels resolution in a 21:9 aspect ratio. However, it distinguishes itself with enhancements and an improved curved panel of 1500R curvature.
Key features include an impressive 180 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time for both MPRT and gray-to-gray, facilitating smooth gameplay when paired with a capable gaming setup. The monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium for fluid and synchronized gameplay visuals.
Xiaomi has optimized the monitor for performance and color accuracy, offering a typical brightness of 350 nits, a 4,000:1 contrast ratio, 95% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB color space coverage, and a Delta E value of less than 2, ensuring vivid and accurate colors.
Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.0 and two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, alongside an audio output, although it lacks a USB hub and USB-C port for image transmission or USB Power Delivery for charging devices.
Added conveniences include adjustable swivel and tilt functions, and furthermore, the monitor is compatible with VESA mounts. Consequently, this ensures easy installation on monitor stands.
