Numerous new products, including from Corsair, are on display at the Computex trade fair. The US company has introduced the Xeneon 34WQHD240-C, a new gaming screen with an ultra-wide format and 1800R curvature. The 34in curved ultra wide gaming monitor uses a QD OLED panel specially adapted and calibrated to the manufacturer’s needs.
In addition to UWQHD resolution (3440 x 1440 pixels, 21:9) and a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz, the Xeneon gaming monitor features DisplayHDR True Black 400, 99 percent DCI-P3, 1000 cd/m² peak brightness ( HDR, 3 percent APL), and a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1. FreeSync Premium and G-Sync-compatible Adaptive Sync are said to ensure tearing-free gaming. The grayscale change is said to take place within 0.03 ms.
In terms of connections, there are two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, a USB 3.1 hub, a headphone output, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and 65-watt PD. In terms of ergonomics, there is tilt, rotation, height adjustment, and a VESA mount (100 x 100 mm). Corsair has also considered picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes. The Corsair curved OLED monitor also does not require a fan.
If you want to use the screen with a modern game console, you can use an upscaled 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) at up to 120 Hz – with black bars on the sides that are hardly noticeable in the dark thanks to the perfect black of OLED. The manufacturer is advertising the 34″ gaming monitor with a proximity sensor that automatically opens the OSD when you hold your hand to the bottom of the screen.
The Corsair Xeneon 34WQHD240-C weighs 7.2 kg without the stand, features a glossy display coating, and includes a three-year warranty that covers OLED burn-in and certain dead pixels.
