The ViewSonic X1-4K Pro is a 4K theater projector with gaming features. This high-lumen smart projector is designed for low input lag and delivers exceptional brightness, supporting high-resolution playback.
ViewSonic has a new 4K DLP projector in its range. The X1-4K Pro is based on an LED source and comes with a Designed for Xbox certification. This is intended to show that the system is particularly well suited to video games. When displaying 1440p content, the 4K UHD resolution projector offers a refresh rate of 120Hz and an input delay of just 4.2 milliseconds, virtually eliminating input lag. This low latency is especially beneficial for fast-paced games like shooters.
The ViewSonic X1-4K Pro advertises a native resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. However, as a bright projector designed for large spaces, it uses pixel shifting and cannot display at full refresh rate at maximum resolution. ViewSonic specifies the brightness as 3,300 LED lumens instead of the standard ANSI lumens, which may use a different evaluation method.
The Smart projector with Wi-Fi uses a zoom lens, allowing you to adjust the projection ratio between 1.15 and 1.5, though it isn’t a short-throw model with an especially short projection distance. It can project images between 60 and 150 inches, requiring around 2.55 meters for a 100-inch display, depending on the zoom setting. You can shift the lens vertically by up to 10 percent, and trapezoid correction is also available.
In standard mode, the LED lasts up to 60,000 hours, and the 3,300-lumen ViewSonic projector operates at 33 decibels. Weighing 3.68 kg, it supports two HDMI 2.0 inputs and a USB Type-C connection for content input. It also includes two six-watt speakers and an RS232 port for screen control. The built-in Google TV lets you stream content directly without an external device.
