NEC P547UL Quiet WUXGA laser projector with 5400 ANSI lumens

The P547UL, a new 3LCD WUXGA laser projector from the Sharp NEC Display Solutions joint venture, has been launched with the tag of being extremely quiet. The datasheet indicates that it operates at a volume of only 22 dB in Eco mode and 26 dB in normal operation, making it ideal for use in classrooms or meeting rooms.

This latest offering boasts a light source with a lifespan of 20,000 hours, an impressive maximum brightness of 5400 ANSI lumens, and a contrast ratio of 500,000:1. With a native resolution of WUXGA 1920×1200 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio, the projector can project a screen diagonal of 30 to 300 inches from a distance of 80 to 1290 cm onto a wall or screen.

The projector also features lens shift and trapezoid correction (both horizontal and vertical), a 1.6x manual zoom, an internal 20-watt speaker, remote control, and the NaViSet Administrator 2 remote maintenance software. Interfaces include HDBaseT, HDMI, RJ-45, USB-A, USB-B, VGA, and a 3.5 mm jack. WLAN is an optional add-on.

In terms of weight, the NEC P547UL WUXGA 1080p projector is 9.7 kg and consumes 220 watts (eco) or 293 watts (normal) in operation.
