World’s First Foldable Display Smartphone Royole FlexPai With Snapdragon 855 Launched

Everyone believed that Samsung would be the first in the world to launch the foldable display smartphone. However, a somewhat unknown Chinese company called Royole rocked the market by announcing a World’s first foldable display smartphone named FlexPai a few days ago at an event in China.

The company also officially listed the FlexPai on its website as the device goes on sale. The surprise is that the new Royole foldable display smartphone is also the first smartphone to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset coming to sales, catching everyone by surprise. That’s because it was expected that the first models with such a platform would only appear in 2019.

The device comes in three variants, first with the 6GB RAM + 128GB of storage model is priced at CNY 8,999 – approximately $1,304, while second model with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version is priced at CNY 9,998 – approximately $1,449. Finally, the third high-end model with 8GB of RAM with 512GB storage costs CNY 12,999 – approximately 1,884. The device will be shipping by the end of December 2018 and comes in Black color only.
