WD My Passport SSD is new Fastest and Portable drive

The Western Digital company has introduced its fastest portable drive called My Passport SSD. It will make in the same design as the already available My Passport series hard drives. Featuring speeds of up to 515 MB/s, the My Passport SSD is the fastest My Passport drive offered by the WD brand.

The WD My Passport SSD is primarily focused on content creators and technology enthusiasts. The new model offers support for both Windows, and Mac, and is available in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB versions. It is designed to work with new computers equipped with a USB Type-C port and is USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gb/s) ready with a USB Type-C to Type-C cable and an adapter to use with the more traditional USB Type-A ports found on many computers.

As stated by the company, new Western Digital My Passport SSD drive combines the exceptional speed and portability to manage massive files on the go. It supports 256-bit AES hardware encryption and password protection and is also 6.5-foot drop tested for shock-resistance to withstand 1500G of force, to help keep precious data safe. The WD SSD comes with WD Backup software that enables users to automatically back up their stuff.

The WD My Passport SSD price in USA is about $399.99 for the model with 1TB capacity, $199.99 for 512GB and $99.99 for 256GB capacity; and it can be purchased via BestBuy.com. It measures 45 x 90 x 100 mm and comes with 3 years warranty.
