Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f1.2 X Lens with Fujifilm X-Mount

With the Nokton 35mm f1.2 X, Voigtländer presents its first X mount lens for Fuji cameras. According to Voigtlander, the lens developed and produced by Cosina in Japan was designed exclusively for the Fujifilm APS-C sensor and should be optimally matched to it.

Voigtlander 35mm f/1.2 X

The focal length of 35 mm on Fujifilm’s APS-C cameras corresponds to about 53 mm in full format 35 mm. The light intensity of 1: 1.2 offers great potential for exposure with the possibility of a particularly three-dimensional reproduction of details as well as a smooth bokeh.

According to the manufacturer, the new Voigtlander 35mm f1.2 X is made exclusively of metal and glass. The focus is purely manual, the aperture can be precisely adjusted in 1/3 steps, and the electrical contacts enable communication with the camera. However, this is not the case with all camera models. You should always have the latest firmware installed. With its compact dimensions and a weight of only 196 grams, the new Nokton proves to be the ideal daily companion.

Not all Fujifilm camera models support data communication with the lens. When using the lens with a model that does not support data communication, you must set the camera setting for “Release without lens” to “ON”.
