Cosina has announced the manual macro lens under the Voigtlander brand – Macro APO-Ultron D35mm F2 for Nikon Z mount cameras with APS-C sensors.
Voigtlander D35mm F2 is a standard fast manual focus macro lens. It covers an APS-C (Nikon DX) sized image circle, and the optical design is optimized for image sensors of Nikon Z system cameras.
The new product, designed and manufactured under license from Nikon Corporation, features electronic contacts that allow communication between the lens and the camera. The lens transmits Exif information to the camera and supports three types of focus functions.
The Nikon macro lens has a compact size and apochromatic design. In the updated optical design – 9 elements in 6 groups, including 3 anomalous partial dispersion. The manufacturer claims that chromatic aberration is completely absent.
Macro APO-Ultron D35mm F2 Z received an elegant design in retro style. The focus ring is knurled and has large finger rests.
The maximum shooting magnification is 1:2, the minimum focusing distance is 16.3 cm. In addition to the close-up effect, you can take advantage of the blurring characteristic of large-aperture macro lenses. This lens can be used not only for macro photography but also for other subjects, from subjects to portraits and landscapes.
