After the launch of the Z5x back in May this year, Vivo mobile phone brand has announced the Z5 smartphone in China. The Vivo Z5 is a mid-budget device of the company’s Z series, and comes with a 6.38-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, up to 8GB RAM, Triple Rear Cameras and In-display fingerprint sensor.

The Vivo Z5 features a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution, 19:5:9 aspect ratio, 90% screen-to-body ratio, 60000:1 contrast ratio, and 103% NTSC Color Gamut. It is powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core processor which supported by Snapdragon 712 10nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 616 GPU and 6GB LPPDDR4x RAM with 64GB / 128GB / 256GB storage and 8GB LPPDDR4x RAM with 128GB storage.
On the camera front, this Vivo latest mobile phone bears a 48-megapixel rear camera with f/1.79 aperture, 1/2″ sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, along with an 8-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide sensor lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing camera with f/2.4 aperture for portrait shots. For selfie, there is a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The Vivo Z5 has a gradient back and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The handset runs on Android 9.0 Pie -based on Funtouch OS 9 out of the box. It packs a 4500mAh battery with 22.5w fast charging that can charge to 50% in 30 minutes. For connectivity includes Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C. The device measures 159.53×75.23×8.13mm and weigh 187 grams.
Price and Availability
The Vivo Z5 price in China starts from CNY 1,598 – approximately $323 for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version, CNY 1,898 – approximately $275 for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version, CNY 1,998 – approximately $290 for the 6GB RAM with 256GB storage version and the top-end 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs CNY 2,298 – approximately $333. It is now available for order and will go on sale in China from August 6, 2019. The handset comes in Black, Blue, and Aurora Blue color options.
