Viltrox has officially launched the first cinema lens in its new Luna series. Viltrox has now fully revealed the Luna 30-300mm T4 cine zoom lens, previously showcased at NAB, along with its complete features and capabilities. The company has designed this professional-grade lens for wildlife, sports, and other demanding cinematography scenarios. Viltrox plans to expand the Luna series with a 22-220mm T2.8 S35 cinema lens and a larger format 65mm sensor lens.
The Luna 30-300mm T4 is a specialized tool for professional filmmakers, requiring careful setup and additional equipment such as focus/zoom control systems, a heavy-duty tripod, and a high-capacity video head. Weighing 15 kilograms, this lens presents logistical challenges for on-location shoots.

Viltrox has positioned this lens for the high-end market, with a retail price of approximately $65,000. It is now available for pre-order on Bhphotovideo.com. Viltrox expects to release the lens with a PL mount, though images show it mounted on RED cinema cameras with an RF mount via an adapter.
Venus Optics has recently launched the Laowa Nanomorph Zoom kit, featuring innovative anamorphic ultra-wide zoom lenses designed for cameras with Super35 sensors. The kit includes the Laowa Nanomorph Zoom 28-55mm T2.9 1.5x and 50-100mm T2.9 1.5x lenses.
