Viltrox has introduced the 56mm F1.4 autofocus lens for the Canon EOS M mirrorless system (EF-M-mount). This portrait lens is an affordable version of the existing Sigma 56mm f1.4 lens. The price of the new lens is $279 and can be purchased through the Amazon.com website. However, right now it is available in silver color only. The package box includes a lens, front lens cap, rear lens cap, and lens bag.

As for the specifications of this new lens, the Viltrox AF 56mm F1.4 for the Canon EOS M, received a fast (according to the manufacturer) autofocus. It supports Eye AF. The lens has a USB connector for firmware updates. And the optical design of this lens consists of 10 elements arranged in 9 groups, including 1 extra-low dispersion (ED) element and 1 high-refraction element
The lens is compatible with Canon EOS-M cameras: Canon M10, M100, M2, M3, M5, M50, M6, and M6II. It has a compact and lightweight rugged all-metal body structure, ensure lens assembly. Bright f/1.4 maximum aperture suits working in low-light conditions and also affords greater control over depth of field.
One extra-low dispersion elements reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to achieve a high degree of clarity and color accuracy. One high refractive index elements help to control spherical aberrations and reduce distortion in order to realize high sharpness and accurate rendering.
