Viltrox introduced the AF 85mm f/1.8 XF II autofocus lens, which is designed for Fujifilm camera systems with X mount (127.5 mm EF). This portrait lens was previously released for the Sony E-mount.
The lens is characterized by a weight of 484 grams, a minimum focusing distance of 0.8 m with a maximum magnification of 0.13x. The optical design comprises 10 elements in 7 groups, including one extra-low dispersion element, one aspherical element, and four elements made from highly transparent glass, which all help to reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations in order to realize high clarity and sharpness. The diameter of the front filter thread is 72 mm.
New Viltrox short-telephoto lens focal length pairs with the bright f/1.8 design to suit working in a variety of lighting conditions and also for controlling depth of field and isolating subject matter. It comes with an HD Nano multi-layer coating has also been applied to suppress flare and ghosting for improved contrast when working in strong lighting conditions.
Additionally, the lens for Fuji X mount also features an STM motor for quick, quiet autofocus performance to work with close-up subjects. The portrait prime lens for the Fuji camera provides a 127.5mm equivalent focal length. Included lens hood shades the front element from flare-causing stray light and also offers some additional physical protection.
