Viltrox 24mm F1.8 FE for Sony E Mount now available to Buy

Viltrox has recently released a new Sony E mount lens: Viltrox 24mm F1.8 FE, which is now available to buy. The lens supports autofocus and can be fitted with 55mm filters.

The optical design of the Sony E-mount lens includes 11 elements in 9 groups. Three extra-low dispersion elements reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to achieve a high degree of clarity and color accuracy. Three high refractive index elements help to control spherical aberrations and reduce distortion in order to realize high sharpness and accurate rendering. Two aspherical elements minimize distortion and spherical aberrations in order to produce high sharpness and accurate rendering.

The Viltrox 24mm F1.8 FE has a wide-angle focal length with an especially bright design, well-suited to landscape, nature, and street photography. Its wide-but-usable perspective is complemented by the f/1.8 maximum aperture, which excels in low-light conditions and also offers increased control over the depth of field.

The lens is designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, however can also be used on APS-C models where it provides a 36mm equivalent focal length. The minimum focusing distance is 0.3 m. The lens with a diameter of 70 mm, a length of 85.0 mm, and weighs 340 g.
