At the end of last year, ViewSonic teased a series of new PC monitors, including the business screen VP2788-5K. We now have new pricing details about the 5K display for PC, which is now listed on Amazon UK.
As the model name suggests, the 27-inch IPS panel features a 5120 x 2880 resolution (5K, 16:9) and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. Additionally, it supports a maximum refresh rate of 75 Hz. Furthermore, the monitor delivers 10-bit color depth, 100 percent sRGB, 99 percent DCI-P3, 500 cd/m² brightness, a Delta-E value of less than 2, and DisplayHDR 400 certification.
The range of interfaces includes HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, Thunderbolt 4 (with 100-watt PD), a headphone output, and a USB 3.2 hub (Gen 2). As mentioned in the PRAD report linked above, the monitor also includes daisy-chaining functionality for dual 5K displays. Two internal 5-watt speakers provide the audio output.
The ViewSonic ColorPro VP2788-5K is designed primarily for Mac owners. Moreover, it allows users to tilt, rotate, adjust its height (120 mm), and pivot it.
