ViewSonic PX728-4K 4K Projector with 2,000 lumens, 240 Hz, and up to 300 inches for home cinema and gaming

With the PX728-4K, ViewSonic presents a new 4K home cinema projector with 2,000 ANSI lumens of brightness and a screen diagonal of up to 300 inches. Features also include 1.3x optical zoom, vertical keystone correction, and an update rate of up to 240 Hz.

ViewSonic recently presented a gaming projector with 4K resolution. The new ViewSonic PX728-4K is the sister model of the PX748-4K, which was launched earlier this year.

The new ViewSonic projector is equipped with an RGBRGB color wheel and thus achieves 100 percent coverage of the Rec.709 color space. The resolution is 4K with HDR, albeit with upscaling, and the update rate up to 240 Hz. It means that the 4k projector is also ideally suited for gaming. Because even the input lag of only 4.2 ms should make gamer hearts beat faster.

Further specifications of the new ViewSonic PX728-4K include a color depth of 10 bits and a contrast ratio in SuperEco mode of 12,000: 1. With its up to 2,000 ANSI lumens bright lamp with 240 watts and depending on the operating mode up to 20,000 hours, it throws a 30 to 300-inch picture on the wall. Thanks to the 1.3x optical zoom and vertical keystone correction, this can be adapted to the conditions on-site. The manufacturer specifies the power consumption as 310 watts in normal operation, the volume as 27 dB in eco mode up to 32 dB in normal mode.

The ViewSonic PX728-4K has two HDMI 2.0b interfaces, one USB-C for direct streaming, USB-A for powering HDMI dongles, RS232, RJ45, and 3.5 mm audio. A loudspeaker with 10 watts is installed for this purpose.

The best home projector is already available and can be purchased from Amazon.co.uk for £1,014.99 along with a discount of £34.01. The listing price for the home cinema projector is slightly higher at £1,049. According to the price, the PX728-4K is a bit more expensive than its sister model ViewSonic PX748-4K. It is likely to be due to the slightly better equipment.

Recently, LG has also introduced the BF60PST business projector has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels (WUXGA), supports HDR10 with laser, the light source should last 20,000 hours, achieve a brightness of up to 6000 ANSI lumens, and is priced at $3,199.
