ViewSonic M2W Portable projector with 1700 LED lumens

A new mini LED projector called M2W comes from ViewSonic. The light source promises a maximum of 1700 LED lumens and should have a service life of 30,000 hours. The native resolution is 1280 x 800 pixels (WXGA), the color depth is 10 bits, the contrast ratio is 3,000,000:1, and the Rec. 709 coverage is 125 percent.

Diagonals from 24 to 150 inches can be projected from a distance of 50 to 387 cm to the (screen) wall, whereby a distance of 258 cm is specified for 100 inches. Two internal Harman Kardon loudspeakers (3 watts each) are also part of the device as well as a vertical and horizontal keystone correction. The scope of delivery includes a classic remote control, but the smartphone or tablet can also function as such via the vCastSender app.

The interface selection includes Bluetooth 4.2, HDMI 1.4, USB-A 2.0, USB-C, WLAN 802.11n (with 5 GHz), a microSDXC card reader, and an audio output (3.5 mm jack). The ViewSonic projector promises a background noise of 26 dB, an input lag of 66 ms, and a typical power consumption of 71 watts. Internal memory holds 16 GB, of which 10 GB is available for the user.

The 1350 g lightweight ViewSonic M2W smart projector, can also be used portably with a separate power bank.

The new ViewSonic mini LED projector will soon be available in UK retail for £609 and can supposedly be delivered promptly by the Amazon.co.uk online shop. A carry bag is also included in the accessories.
