Garmin Venu 2 Plus 43mm GPS smartwatch with voice assistant support

Garmin has released the Venu 2 Plus, a 43mm smartwatch available in three colors. The Venu 2 Garmin Plus version comes with an AMOLED display, stainless steel casing, countless health, and fitness features, as well as a voice assistant function.

The Venu 2 Plus is only available as a 43mm smartwatch with a 1.3-inch screen. In addition, the AMOLED panel displays a resolution of 416 x 416 pixels and supports the permanent standby feature. According to Garmin, the Venu 2 Plus weighs 51g and should last up to 9 days between charges in smartwatch mode. On the other hand, you should expect an autonomy of 8 hours in case of music playback and simultaneous use of the GPS. Garmin’s battery life estimate changes to 24 hours using only GPS and 10 days if you activate battery saving mode.

The GPS smartwatch itself has a fiber-reinforced polymer case with a stainless steel back cover and bezel. Garmin has also covered the screen of the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 smartwatch and claims the device is 5 ATM water-resistant. Unsurprisingly, the Venu 2 Plus packs a lot of sensors and supports a lot of health monitoring functions. Garmin has preloaded the smartwatch with golf, running, swimming, and gym modes as well, among other exercise modes.

Garmin Venu 2 Plus price and availability

The new Garmin smartwatch costs $449.99/£399.99, and it is already available to buy through various online shops like Amazon.com, Adorama.com, Bestbuy.com, and Amazon.co.uk.

It comes in three color variants: Silver stainless steel bezel, powder gray case, and silicone band; Slate stainless steel bezel with black case and silicone band; and Cream gold stainless steel bezel with ivory case and silicone strap.

All colors support voice functionality through a paired smartphone. The device is said to be compatible with Bixby, Google Assistant, and Siri. Garmin also included a microphone for making and receiving phone calls without needing your phone at hand.
