Vazen 135mm T2.8 1.8x Anamorphic Lens for EF and PL mounts

Vazen has introduced a 135mm T2.8 1.8x anamorphic lens for full-frame cameras with Canon EF and PL mounts. Thus, the set of anamorphic optics for the company’s full-frame now includes three lenses – 135 mm complements the previously presented 50 mm T2.1 and 85 mm T2.8 anamorphic lenses.

The Vazen 135mm T2.8 1.8X lens is designed for wide format cinema cameras such as Red Monstro, Red V-Raptor, Alexa LF, Kinefinity Mavo LF, and Z-CAM E2-F8. The company guarantees “outstanding sharpness” at all apertures, including wide ones, and easily competes with 1.8x anamorphic lenses for PL / EF.

As is customary for cinema optics kits, the 135mm lens has the same position of the focus and aperture rings as the Vazen 85mm, which allows you to quickly change one lens to another without the need to reconfigure the follow-focus systems and attachments. In addition, the thread for the filter is the same – 86 mm. The lens dimensions are 23.6 cm, the maximum diameter is 9.5 cm, and the telephoto lens weighs 2 kg.

Of course, the focus is manual, the minimum distance to the object is 1.52 m. There is an engraving of the distance on the body, the aperture ring is also informative.

In May 2021, Vazen announced the 50mm T2.1 1.8x anamorphic lens. It weighs 1.55kg and is 13.3cm long. The manufacturer claims that their lens is the smallest 1.8x anamorphic lens for full-frame cameras and is also priced at $8000.
