New Olympus Stylus Tough TG-Tracker Action Camera has been officially launched, as expected, looking very muscular and high-end specifications must say it should be one of the best action camera in the world of action-cam segment. In addition to waterproof, shockproof, dustproof, freezeproof and crushproof body this Olympus Stylus Camera can withstand the cold as low as 10°C degrees and handle pressures of up to 99 kg.
Olympus TG-Tracker features a 1.5-inch Tilt-Out LCD Display with 115k dots resolution, which does not occur in most action cameras. It is equipped with an 8-megapixel 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor along with TruePic VII processor, f/2.0 aperture, super-wide angle of view up to 204 degrees and also able to shoot 4K videos at 30fps combined with electronic 5-axis image stabilization system. Action camera also has a built-in high-intensity LED light for low-light photography.
The Olympus TG-Tracker doesn’t require a separate camera housing to provide its toughness, with its body shockproof from drops up to 7′ and waterproof to depths of up to 30 meters. It’s also dustproof and will operate in temperatures as low as 14°F/-10°C, so whether you’re at the beach on at the top of the slope, the camera is up to the task. The dual-layer shockproof housing, allowing the camera to clear drop tests from heights of up to 2 meters and also has rugged body that can withstand loads of up to 99 kg of force, which means you can put a 99 kg heavy stone on it but it’s still in working condition, as per listing.
Additionally, TG-Tracker also adds all kinds of sensors, such as GPS, thermometer, barometer, compass and accelerometer. There is also Wi-Fi connectivity to transfer files via Android or iOS device. Olympus Stylus Tough TG-Tracker has been priced at $349.99 and can be pre-ordered via BHPhoto store. It is available in Black and Green color options and will be released in Mid-July 2016.
