Samsung on Wednesday launched its Galaxy Note 8 smartphone at its Unpacked event and while we already knew most features and design of the handset thanks to numerous leaks, now we finally we have the unlocked Galaxy Note 8 for pre-order on Amazon.com and the device will be released on September 5, 2017. Considering that Galaxy Note 8 price is set at $929.99 on Amazon store and has only listed the 64GB storage model of Orchid Gray color version for pre-orders in USA.
Last year’s Galaxy Note 7 smartphone met an untimely end following multiple fire-related reports. The Galaxy Note 8 is important for Samsung as it hopes to rebuild the trust of its customers. The company has detailed its stringent safety tests for the smartphone, working closely with Underwriter Labs to ensure reliability for the Galaxy Note 8’s power supply.
The Galaxy Note 8 comes with the S Pen, dual cameras with Live Focus and dual OIS features of the camera and how that impacts the way you click photographs. Bixby is another big part of the device and a huge 6.3-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED Infinity Display.
One other feature that caught our attention was App Pairing. It essentially allows users to launch two apps together in multi-window. You can create an app pair in App Edge or on your homescreen, and then launch them together in split screen mode whenever you prefer.
The Samsung DeX station is useful for using the Note 8 on a big desktop screen. With the launch of the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung has expanded the app catalogue that expands on the large screen with DeX Labs. This program now allows the majority of apps to go full-screen when the Galaxy Note 8 is connected to the docking station.
Alongside, Samsung has also launched the new Gear VR headset to be compatible with the new Galaxy Note 8 smartphone’s big size. The new Gear VR headset is priced at $129.99. New Gear VR for Note 8 is similar to its predecessor but has a larger slot, therefore, it will only be device compatible with this new Gear VR, but the new headset will be compatible with old Samsung devices too.
