Asus TUF Gaming VG247Q1A Gaming Monitor with 165 Hz and FHD

Asus has released a new 165Hz Gaming Monitor called TUF Gaming VG247Q1A, which measures 23.8 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD). Asus TUF monitor VG247Q1A has a VA panel that achieves 8-bit color depth, a 3500: 1 contrast ratio, typical brightness of 350 cd/m², and a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz (or up to 120 Hz on modern consoles).

In addition, there is talk of 1 ms MPRT (“Moving Picture Response Time”), but nothing is known about the more important gray change. Thanks to blue light filtering and flicker-free backlighting, even longer sessions should prove to be easy on the eyes. Two internal 2-watt speakers act as optional sound generators.

The MPRT specification primarily refers to the existing ELMB mode (“Extreme Low Motion Blur”), which can reduce moving image blurring. Alternatively, owners of the Asus TUF gaming monitor can opt for FreeSync Premium and enjoy tearing-free gaming fun.

The range of interfaces includes two HDMI 1.4 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.2, and a headphone output. There is no USB connection. On the ergonomic-mechanical side, only a tilt adjustment is available, whereby the screen can be mounted on a wall or a swivel arm using a VESA mount (100 x 100 mm).

The Asus TUF monitor VG247Q1A consumes around 14 watts in operation, weighs 2.81 kg without the stand, and has dimensions of 541.04 x 323.26 x 57.87 mm (W x H x D).
