Asus has solidified its TUF gaming lineup at CES 2024. The TUF Gaming F16 2024 is the only one in its class launched with a Core i7-13650HX, 32GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD.
Asus has decided to reduce the number of its budget laptops. Typically, the TUF Gaming series introduces two F SKUs. This time, however, only the TUF Gaming F16 will be released. Asus has also implemented some interesting cost-cutting measures.
The Asus TUF Gaming F16 2024 offers two resolutions for its 16-inch display: FHD (1,920 x 1,080) and QHD (2,560 x 1,440). Both resolutions are refreshed at 165 Hz, have a 3 ms response time, and cover 100% of the sRGB color gamut. The gaming laptop measures 35 x 25 x 2.8 cm, weighs 2.27 kg, and runs on a 90 Wh battery.
Asus has chosen to equip the TUF Gaming F16 2024 with an Intel Core i7-13650HX Raptor Lake processor. This processor is still going strong, which is why Asus may have preferred it over the new 14th-gen HX chips (and hoped to have passed the savings on to the customer). The system features a Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 (130W). While there is only one TUF Gaming F15 model available, this is not necessarily a drawback.

The Asus TUF Gaming F16 2024 comes with up to 32GB of DDR5 4600 RAM and a 2TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD. Despite its position as a mid-range offering, the laptop includes a Thunderbolt 4.0 port, joined by a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and an Ethernet jack. The wireless connectivity interfaces include only Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

The Asus TUF Gaming F16 2024 is now available at Amazon.com for $1,099.99. This price is for the FHD+ 165Hz display model with an Intel Core i7-13650HX, RTX 4060, 16GB DDR5 RAM, and a 512GB PCIe Gen4 SSD. On Newegg.com, you can buy the same model for $1,367. Additionally, on Amazon.co.uk, the variant with 64GB DDR5 RAM, a 1TB SSD, and a GeForce RTX 4060 is available for £2,445.
