The budget-friendly portrait lens TTArtisan 75mm F2 AF, previously released for full-frame Sony and Nikon cameras, has now been released for the L-mount system. Thus, this is TTartisan’s first autofocus portrait lens for cameras with the L-mount.

TTArtisan was founded in 2019 in Shenzhen, a city in southeastern China. Since then, the manufacturer has introduced about 60 models of different lenses, including those with an ultra-high aperture of F/0.95. Its features include a budget price tag and high-quality assembly.
After some time, the company entered the autofocus optics segment. In 2022, the manufacturer released TTArtisan 32mm F2.8 AF for mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensors.
Now, TTartisan is opening up the market for L-mount cameras with advanced hybrid autofocus support (all the latest Leica, Sigma, and Panasonic models). The TTArtisan AF 75mm F2 lens, previously released for Sony and Nikon cameras, is now ported to the L-mount.
This is a compact, lightweight autofocus lens with fairly advanced and high-quality autofocus (however, the sound of the motor may get into the audio track when recording video and using small on-camera microphones). It has an all-metal construction and weighs 329 grams.
Its minimum focal length is 0.75 meters, and when mounted on full-frame cameras, it has a 32-degree field of view. It supports 62mm filters.
The TTArtisan lens for Leica and Panasonic is designed for portrait photography. Its optical design includes 10 elements in seven groups, including one extra-low dispersion element and four high-index elements to reduce chromatic aberration and improve image quality. The manufacturer claims that the lens’s optical structure should provide excellent sharpness.

A stepper motor controls autofocus. TTArtisan confirms that the AF 75mm F/2 optics fully support the detection of eyes, animals, and vehicles in real-time. They comply with all modern cameras’ software and hardware capabilities.
