TTArtisan has released an ultra-wide-angle lens for Sony E-mount crop cameras. It weighs only 98 grams, supports autofocus, and has a minimum focusing distance of 0.25 meters. The TTArtisan 14mm F3.5 lens body is made of metal.
The new compact TTArtisan AF 14mm F3.5 optics not only look stylish but also feature both a focusing and an aperture control ring. Moreover, its optical design consists of 8 elements arranged in 7 groups. Specifically, the design includes aspherical elements, extra-low dispersion optics, and high-index glass, ensuring enhanced image quality.
This optical system allows for an ultra-compact form factor. And, judging by everything, a durable body. The optics are supplied with a compact screw-on lens hood. The TTArtisan AF 14mm F3.5 also has a USB-C port for firmware updates.

Earlier this year, 7Artisans announced a new compact wide-angle lens in the pancake form factor for full-frame mirrorless cameras: Sony E, Nikon Z, and L-mount. The 7Artisans 18mm F5.6 optics have exclusively manual focus and weigh only 146 grams. A photoelectric lens is perfect for shooting with a stabilizer and street photography.
Last month, Rokinon introduced the 35mm F1.4 P FE for Sony full-frame cameras. At 470 grams, it will be the lightest lens with autofocus for the Sony E system. At the same time, the new lens from Rokinon will receive an optical scheme with five expensive glass elements, ensuring high image quality. The lens comprises 12 elements in 10 groups, including three aspherical elements, one with a high refractive index and one with low dispersion. Additionally, the design is supplemented with special ultra-multilayer coatings (UMC) developed by Rokinon.
