The TTArtisan has announced the release of its new TTArtisan 11mm f2.8 Fisheye lens for attaching the Fujifilm G mount for Fujifilm GFX medium format cameras. This lens will primarily interest astrophotographers and anyone who may need an ultra-wide angle with a fish eye effect.

The lens is built based on the same for full-frame cameras, for example, for the Leica M, Sony E, Leica L, and Nikon Z mounts, which we already wrote about in the news, and offers very similar characteristics to it, but has a larger lens mount for Fujifilm medium format cameras. The lens is fully manual.

The optical design of the fisheye lens consists of 11 elements in 7 groups, an aperture with 7 blades and a range from F2.8 to F16, the minimum focusing distance is 17 cm, the angle of view is 180°. Manufacturers promise a pronounced but at the same time mild fisheye effect, which they call “portrait fish”.

The only difference from full-frame counterparts is the absence of a hood, according to the developers, it will interfere with the image circle created by the lens. The lens is compatible with GFX 100, GFX 50S, GFX 50R and GFX 100S cameras.

Price and availability

The 11mm F2.8 lens for the Fujifilm GFX can be purchased from the Amazon.com website for $235, which is about the same price as the counterparts for other mounts, namely Canon RF, Leica L, Leica M, Nikon Z, and Sony E.
