TP-Link Tapo RV10 robot vacuum and mop with a suction station and quiet mode

TP-Link has introduced the best floor robot vacuum cleaner that is supposed to impress with a wide range of functions. Because the new TP-Link Tapo RV10 can vacuum and wipe floors and clean carpets as well as be controlled by voice control with Alexa and Google Assistant.

TP-Link Tapo RV10 robot vacuum and mop

With the Tapo RV10 Lite, TP-Link has presented a comparatively inexpensive vacuum and floor-mopping robot that has a particularly large collection container for up to 800 ml of dust, which means that, according to the manufacturer, the robot only has to be emptied every two weeks.

The more expensive Tapo RV10 only offers space for 300 ml of dust, but the robot is equipped with a water tank and a mopping pad so that floors can not only be vacuumed but also wiped. The more expensive RV10 Plus also comes with an extraction station, so that the dust is collected in a 4-liter bag. To match the aggressive price point, the TP-Link Tapo vacuum RV10 series eschews LiDAR scanners, cameras, or map-making.

Thanks to an integrated gyroscope, the robots are supposed to drive through the home systematically in lanes instead of just driving in random directions like older robots. After all, the robot offers voice control via Alexa and Google Assistant, a quiet mode in which the noise level should not exceed 53 dB, and an associated smartphone app with which the robot can be easily set up. The battery lasts three hours, which should also be sufficient for larger homes.

TP-Link Tapo RV10 price and availability

The TP-Link Tapo RV10 robot vacuum and mop is available in the UK for £248 on Amazon.co.uk. The Tapo RV10 Plus, which comes with the suction station, costs £399. The Tapo RV10 Lite, which does without the mopping function, costs £259.

Dreame recently expanded its portfolio of robot vacuums and mops with the new Dreame D10s Pro. The Dreame robotic vacuum cleaner comes with a camera and high suction power. It has also been available in the UK via Amazon.co.uk at £411.53.
