Toshiba released a new Smart Fire TV Edition with an updated interface

Toshiba has released a new series of Smart Fire TV Edition with built-in Fire TV functionality. 4K UHD TV models come with 43-inch (43C350KU C350 Series) and 50-inch (50C350KU C350 Series) screens at the moment, but in the future, 55-, 65- and 75-inch versions of TVs will go on sale.

Unlike previous models of Toshiba TVs, new Smart Fire TV models have thinner bezels, as well as additional HDMI and USB ports. The new Toshiba Fire TV Edition smart TVs are powered by the Regza Engine, support 4K resolution (3840×2160 pixels), as well as Dolby Vision and HDR10 technologies.

Toshiba’s new TVs run Amazon Fire OS, allowing you to watch video from a compatible video stream station or other apps on your home screen, and the ability to change TV settings using voice commands.

For example, you can give the command “Alexa, set the picture mode to watch a movie ”or“ set the bass level and more. You can use included Voice Toshiba TV remote with Alexa like a traditional remote to manage TV power, volume, navigation, playback, input switching, and volume of compatible AV receivers and soundbars.

According to the resource AFTVnews, Toshiba Fire TV Edition TVs will initially ship with the old Fire TV interface, but this summer they will receive an updated interface. The updated interface has support for up to six user profiles, which means that up to six members of your family can save the device settings as they wish.

Price and availability

The new Toshiba Smart Fire TV has already been listed on the Amazon.com and BestBuy.com online stores for $369.99 (43-inch) and $469.99 (50-inch).

Recently, Sony has unveiled the Bravia X90J series 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV, which is the first to receive the XR Cognitive Processor. The chip uses a new method of image and sound processing for a more realistic display of content, as well as upscaling of the picture and audio track.
