Toshiba launches the new E-Generation laptops range, designed for professional use and therefore optimized for reliability, performance, and efficiency. There is a total of seven products – Toshiba Portégé X20W-E and X30-E, Tecra X40-E, A50-E and Z50-E, Satellite Pro A50-E and R50-E, all are based on Intel Core 8th gen and featuring an elegant and compact design that facilitates portability.
The Toshiba E-Generation laptops offer various solutions, all to meet the flexibility that professionals require, with many hardware options that guarantee expansion, connectivity and ensure productivity. For example, the new Toshiba Portègè X30-E uses an anti-glare touchscreen panel with In-Cell Touch technology that allows the user to navigate and interact with content, without sacrificing the design of the display or laptop itself.
In addition to performance and flexibility, the new Toshiba E-Generation range offers business-class data protection with proprietary BIOS and TPM 2.0 encryption support; all the new Portégé and Tecra, as well as the Satellite Pro A50-E, are equipped with SecurePad, a touchpad with a fingerprint sensor. In addition, the Toshiba Portégé X20W-E and X30-E and the Toshiba Tecra X40-E integrate the IR-webcam for facial authentication through Windows Hello or Intel Authenticate.
Finally moving to portability, the E-Generation laptops includes models with a super-compact design, especially those of the X series. Toshiba Portégé X20W-E is only 15.4mm thick and weighs 1.1kg, the Toshiba Portègè X30-E has a 15.9mm profile and a weight of 1.05kg while the Toshiba Tecra X40-E is only 16.9mm thick and weighs 1.25kg. All these Toshiba laptops use a magnesium chassis with a honeycomb design.
As of now, Toshiba has not talked about prices, the E-Generation laptops will be available from March 2018.
