Tokina SZ PRO 300mm F7.1, 600mm F8 and 900mm F11 lenses for Sony E, Fujifilm X and Canon M

Tokina has officially unveiled three compact super-telephoto lenses SZ PRO 300mm F7.1, 600mm F8, and 900mm F11 MF CF for APS-C format for Sony E, Fujifilm X, and Canon EF-M mount.

Thanks to their catadioptric optical design, these Tokina lenses are very light and ultra-compact. This is an option for those users who are looking for a lightweight, affordable super telephoto lens.

In standard designs, light passes through the lens and hits the camera’s sensor. However, in reflex lenses, light enters the lens and bounces off the mirrors twice before reaching the sensor.

Unlike conventional lenses, catadioptric designs are much more effective at suppressing chromatic aberration (CA), and the optical configuration has been further optimized in the series to further reduce CA.

The new Tokina SZ PRO series is equipped with a protective baffle to prevent light from reaching the sensor, which suppresses flare and ghosting and maintains contrast even without a lens hood under normal shooting conditions.

The new Tokina lenses come with a 270° focusing ring, which allows for precise focusing at shallow depths of the field. These lenses work well not only when shooting long distances, but also when shooting macro. Their maximum magnification is 1:2.5 (0.4x).
