Japanese company Tokina has finally introduced two new lenses: the Tokina atx-m 23mm F1.4 X, and atx-m 33mm F1.4 X for Fujifilm X-mount cameras. Both Tokina lenses are designed for cameras with APS-C sensor format and are equipped with a fast and quiet (according to the manufacturer’s statement) STM autofocus motor.
The new prime lenses turned out to be quite compact. In addition, the manufacturer reports that both lenses, due to the quiet movement of the aperture ring, will be a good tool for shooting video. The design of the diaphragm is 9 blades and is capable of changing from f1.4 to f16. And the optical design of the Tokina 23mm f1.4 lens consists of 11 elements in 10 groups, and the Tokina 33mm f1.4 lens has 10 elements in 9 groups.
The new Tokina lenses support the installation of light filters with a 52mm thread diameter. In terms of weight, the atx-m 23mm f/1.4 and atx-m 33mm f1.4 lenses are light enough. So, a 23mm lens weighs 276 grams and a 33mm lens weighs 285 grams.
