Tokina has introduced a new lens for Nikon F and Canon EF full-frame SLR cameras. This lens is the Tokina atx-i 17-35mm F4 FF wide angle lens. This new zoom lens replaces the current Tokina 17-35mm F4 Pro FX lens.

The design of the new Tokina lens is more modern – in the style of the latest Tokina lenses for these bayonet mounts. As mentioned above, the atx-i 17-35mm F4 FF has been created specifically for full-frame DSLR cameras with Nikon F mount and Canon EF mount. The company is positioning its lens as a versatile lens for landscape, architecture, time-lapse, and street photography.

Tokina atx-i 17-35mm F4 lens features a constant f/4 aperture throughout the entire focal length range. At the same time, the lens does not change in size when changing the focal length, due to this it remains quite compact. Its dimensions are 89x95mm for Nikon F and 89x97mm for Canon EF.

And the weight of the new wide angle lens is 569 grams for the Nikon F and 609 grams for the Canon EF. The optical design of the lens includes 13 elements in 12 groups. For autofocusing, a combination of Tokina GMR sensor and SD-M module (silent focusing drive) is responsible, the manufacturer indicates that this lens is also suitable for video shooting.

Another advantage of this lens, according to the manufacturer, it provides a super-low distortion and low light fall-off for straight lines and minimal exposure vignetting. In addition, the lens received a sealed bayonet mount area.
