The BenQ TK710 is the new best 4K HDR projector for gaming with high brightness. The device features a high native resolution, promising superior display quality. It is marketed for its notably low input lag.
BenQ has a new 4k laser theater projector on offer with the TK710. The manufacturer advertises quite aggressively that it is a projector with a real 4K display. This means that it does not rely on pixel shifting to achieve the display with 3,840 x 2,160 pixels – the extent to which this technology has a negative influence on the image quality depends on the image material and, not least, personal sensitivity.
The manufacturer specifies a brightness of 3,200 ANSI lumens, indicating that you cannot use it in perfectly darkened rooms. The projector features a zoom lens with a projection ratio between 1.15 and 1.5. You can achieve a projection diagonal between 1.52 and 3.05 meters, and at a distance of 2.5 meters, it achieves a 100-inch projection. It supports keystone correction, as well as lens shift up and down.
The low input lag makes the TK710 suitable for gaming too. If you deliver Full HD material at 250 Hz, the delay should be just 4 milliseconds. For 4K material at 60 Hz, the input delay is 16 milliseconds. The BenQ home cinema projector 4K model can receive image signals via HDMI, and USB and an RS-232 connection for control are available.
According to the manufacturer, the projector emits only 275 watts in Eco mode and boasts a maximum lamp life of 20,000 hours. The 95 percent coverage of the Rec. 709 color space promises brilliant colors.
