Lenovo Thinkcentre M75n Tiny Mini PC with Ryzen CPU, Now on Amazon

With the Thinkcentre M75n, Lenovo has introduced a new desktop PC that takes up extremely little space. Nevertheless, the ultra-compact Lenovo mini PC offers considerable performance and features. Alternatively, there is also the passively cooled Thinkcentre M75n IoT to the portfolio.

If you have little space on your desk, you will soon find a particularly space-saving solution in retail with the Lenovo Thinkcentre M75n. The Lenovo tiny desktop PC only takes up a volume of a third of a liter. To be precise, it is 0.35 l in a housing measuring only 179 x 88 x 22 mm.

Despite the very small dimensions, Lenovo has packed a lot of technology into the tiny case. Depending on your requirements, a Ryzen 3 Pro 3300U (4C / 4T) or a Ryzen 5 Pro 3500U (4C / 8T) from AMD, supported by 8 GB DDR4 RAM with 2,400 MHz in dual-channel operation, can be found in it. There are two storage slots for NVMe PCIe SSDs – one for short M.2-2242 (Gen3 x2) and one for longer and faster M.2-2280 (Gen3 x4). A WLAN module is used in a third slot.

There is also a lot to offer in terms of connectivity, despite the limited space. The following connections are located in the front: a USB-C (USB 3.1, Gen 2), a USB 3.1 (Gen 2), a USB 2.0, and a combined headphone/microphone connection. On the back, there is also one USB-C (USB 3.1, Gen 2, DisplayPort), one USB 3.1 (Gen 2), one USB 2.0, a DisplayPort, and a Gigabit Ethernet connection (RJ45). The 65-watt power supply and an optional Kensington lock are also plugged in there.

The part can be hung up via VESA. Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Pro, or no operating system at all can be pre-installed as required. The Lenovo Thinkcentre M75n is primarily intended for offices. But it should also do more than well for the usual office applications in domestic use.

Lenovo has also presented the Thinkcentre M75n IoT is a bit larger. This is due to the cooling fins that Lenovo has planted on the roof of this variant and which ensures passive cooling. Nevertheless, the IoT version is still compact 179 x 88 x 34.5 mm.

Since this cooling is less powerful but silent, only an Athlon Silver 3050U (2C/4T) with Radeon Graphics with less power is used inside. It is supported by 4 GB DDR4 RAM with 2,400 Mhz, which are also firmly soldered here and therefore cannot be exchanged or expanded.

The connectivity is also somewhat different. There are also two serial RS-232 ports on the front. Lenovo also sells an I/O box. This is connected to the desktop PC via USB-C and expands the device by two additional RS-232 connections, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, and digital input and digital output. This Lenovo mini PC desktop is to be used primarily in the IoT area, interacting with sensors or cameras.
