Thypoch, a subsidiary of the renowned DZOFILM, initially focused on optics for Leica M cameras, particularly the Simera series. Now, the company is expanding into budget-friendly cinema lenses for the Sony E-mount. The new Thypoch Simera-C series introduces five compact cinema lenses ranging from 21mm to 75mm, all featuring a 16-blade aperture for smooth, expressive bokeh. Future releases will include lenses for L-mount, Canon RF, and M-mount.

The Simera-C series currently offers four focal lengths: 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 75mm. A 21mm lens will follow soon.
Each lens features a dual focus scale (metric and imperial) and a wide T1.5 aperture, ensuring a round, smooth bokeh. The compact design keeps the lenses manageable, with lengths of up to 86.4 mm for the 75mm model and 69.6 mm for the 28mm, 35mm, and 50mm models. Weighing between 390 and 470 grams, these lenses are ideal for stabilization systems.
The four-lens kit comes in a durable aluminum case that is compact enough for carry-on travel and light enough for easy transport.
Thypoch employs advanced optical elements, including aspherical, ED (extra-low dispersion), and high-refractive index components, ensuring sharp resolution and minimal chromatic aberration. These lenses are optimized for high-resolution shooting, including 8K video.

The lenses also feature a multi-layer coating that reduces flare and ghosting, maintaining strong contrast and clarity, even in backlit conditions. They are compatible with RED and ARRI cinema cameras.
Designed for flexibility, the series includes a 210-degree focus ring rotation and a standardized drive position, allowing seamless lens changes without adjustments. The compact design also suits autofocus systems like DJI Focus Pro and rigs such as the DJI Ronin 4D FLEX or Sony Venice Rialto Extension, enabling smooth operation and access to tight or low-angle shots.
