Razer Blade 15 2023 starts as an ultra-thin gaming laptop with GeForce RTX 4070 and 240 Hz QHD display

The new Razer Blade 15 2023 version has been introduced, which packs enormous performance into a 17 mm thin, 2 kg light case because the gaming laptop combines Intel Raptor Lake with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU.

After introducing Razer Blade best laptop at CES 2023, it was foreseeable that this model would replace the Blade 15. This is not the case, however, because Razer new Blade 15 is now introduced which sticks to the design from the previous year.

The big advantage over the Blade 16 2023: With a height of 17 millimeters and a weight of 2.0 kilograms, the Razer Blade 15 2023 is half a centimeter thinner and almost half a kilo lighter. In return, customers have to be content with a little less performance, because instead of Raptor Lake-HX, Razer installs an Intel Core i7-13800H in the new Razer Blade 15 2023, which offers six performance cores and eight efficiency cores as well as clock frequencies of up to 5.2 GHz.

In addition, Razer always installs 16 GB of DDR5-5,200 RAM and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. The 15.6-inch display has a 16:9 format, the 240 Hz IPS panel offers a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, and the DCI-P3 color space can be displayed in full.

Razer does not provide any information on the brightness, the identically equipped panel of the predecessor model was able to achieve almost 300 nits. Buyers can choose between an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 laptop GPU or an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU, which runs at a TGP of 140 watts instead of the 110 watts of the previous Blade 15in laptop model.

Price and availability

The new Razer Blade 15 2023 is available to order now through the Amazon.com website. The base model with GeForce RTX 4060 laptop GPU costs $2,499, and the top model with GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU is offered for 2,799.
