Storage company TerraMaster has unveiled what it says is the smallest Thunderbolt 3 external drive storage system available in 16 drives. The TerraMaster D16 Thunderbolt 3 is the name of the TNAS for professionals looking for fast, high-capacity storage.
The external drive storage is compatible with 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA 6Gb/s drives. The total storage capacity of the D16 Thunderbolt 3 can be up to 288TB. With two 40Gbps Thunderbolt 3 ports, you can scale up your storage by connecting multiple storages in a daisy chain.
It is designed for demanding professionals such as video editors, animators, CAD users, and other content creators, the D16 Thunderbolt 3 delivers more than just high-speed, high-capacity storage. It features support for different professional-grade RAID modes to suit your needs. It also comes in a black and silver aluminum chassis that will fit any modern workspace with an efficient silent thermal design.
In a RAID 0 configuration of 16 SSDs, the storage provides data transfer rates up to 2817 MB/s, and the write speed in a RAID 6 configuration reaches 2480 MB/s. The D16 Thunderbolt 3 scopes “the most demanding storage and communication tasks”, including editing uncompressed 4K and 8K video streams, video streaming, as well as animation, 3D content, and photos processing.

The price of the TerraMaster D16 Thunderbolt 3 external hard drive enclosure is $3,599.99 and it can be purchased via the Amazon.com and Newegg.com online stores.
Last week, TerraMaster has also introduced a new Network Attached Storage solutions catalog with the F4-421 NAS system for four 3.5 inch or 2.5 inch SATA drives. New TNAS is built on a quad-core Intel Celeron J3455 processor, clocked at 1.5-2.3 GHz, which has 4 GB of RAM at its disposal. The amount of RAM can be increased up to 8 GB.
