Tamron, a leading manufacturer of camera lenses, recently launched the Fujifilm X-mount version of their popular 11-20mm f2.8 Di III-A RXD ultra wide-angle lens. The lens, which has a model number B060, is designed to fit Fujifilm cameras with a fixed aperture of F/2.8, giving it an advantage over the native XF10-24mm F/4 OIS WR lens by Fujifilm in terms of equivalent focal length, which is 16.5-30mm.
The lens maintains the same optical design as the Sony E-mount version, with 12 elements arranged in 10 groups. The lens also features a stepper drive for reliable autofocus operation and has a minimum focusing distance of 15cm at the wide end, with a 1:4 magnification. The lens is also compatible with 67mm filters and weighs 335 grams.
The Tamron 11-20mm f2.8 Di III-A RXD lens is suitable for video shooting, thanks to its matrix stabilization system and wide-angle capability, which allows for smooth handheld footage. The lens also features a quiet RXD AF drive, making it ideal for both stills and video.
The lens is constructed with two aspherical GM elements for high resolution throughout the entire image, one XLD and two LD elements for sharp images with high optical aberration correction, and a BBAR-G2 coating that suppresses ghosting and flare to a minimum. The lens also has a moisture-resistant construction and durable fluorine-coated lenses for added protection when shooting outdoors.

The ultra-wide angle photography lens can be pre-ordered via the Bhphotovideo.com online store at $829 and will go on sale on May 30, 2023.
