Synology released its first router, the RT1900ac, back in 2016. Following him in the same year debuted RT2600ac. Now, five years later, the company has unveiled a new best WiFi 6 router called the Synology RT6600ax.

The device is equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and six high-gain antennas. The design of the WiFi 6 router matches the appearance of previous Synology routers. 2.5GbE port configurable for WAN or LAN use supports superfast internet plans or high-performance devices.
Along with the release of the RT6600ax, Synology introduced SRM 1.3, a new version of its proprietary router management software that brings new network management features, including full VLAN support that separates IoT devices from other devices on the home network. The DS Router mobile client has also been updated.
