Suunto 9 Peak Pro Sports Watch is finally launched with a new user interface, an improved sports offer, and a better battery

Suunto has brought the 9 Peak Pro to market, months after the sports watch was first leaked via retailers. Available in several variants, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro offers better battery life than the regular Suunto 9 Peak, among other changes.

Suunto has finally launched the 9 Peak Pro, a smartwatch that has been the subject of several leaks from retailers over the summer. As expected, the 9 Peak Pro resembles its non-Pro sibling, with a 43mm case that’s also 10.8mm thick and weighs 64g. In short, the 9 Peak Pro is slightly thicker than the Suunto 9 Peak and weighs a few grams more.

Unsurprisingly, the new Suunto sports watches shares a few other specs with its sibling, like its sapphire crystal display, 22mm compatibility, and 240 x 240-pixel display. Ultimately, Suunto’s new smartwatch only differs from the Suunto 9 Peak internally. Specifically, the 9 Peak Pro relies on a new chipset that improves battery life. The smartwatch is said to last up to 30 days or 300 hours with GPS enabled, compared to 14 days and 170 hours for the Suunto 9, respectively.

In addition, 9 Peak Pro GPS watches supports Beidou, Galileo, Glonass, and GPS satellite systems and can connect to 32 satellites simultaneously for accurate location. Furthermore, the 9 Peak Pro only needs one hour of charging to fully recharge, and it is waterproof up to 100 meters. Besides, Suunto has given its latest smartwatch a revised user interface and 97 sports modes to choose from.

Price and release date

At launch, Suunto is offering the 9 Peak Pro in six variants, starting at $549 with a stainless steel bezel, and for a titanium bezel, we have to pay $699. It is already available to pre-order on Amazon.com and will be released on October 25, 2022.
