Vespera PRO Telescope Made for Astrophotography Enthusiasts

The Japanese company Sightron Japan Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the French company Vaonis, has developed the Vespera PRO, the newest space telescope designed specifically for astrophotography.

Space Telescope Vespera PRO

Vespera PRO features a compact and elegant design. To use the Vespera PRO, download the free Singularity app by Vaonis, available for iOS and Android devices. Set up the sky telescope outdoors, then use the app to choose from over 4,300 celestial objects stored in its database. Vespera PRO will automatically point to the selected object.

The new space scope does not have a conventional eyepiece; images of space objects (galaxies, nebulae, star clusters…) are transmitted to wirelessly connected smartphones, tablets, and laptops.

Vespera Pro is the top model in the Vespera series. It has a high-quality Sony IMX676 Starvis 2 CMOS matrix measuring 7 x 7 mm, which allows for a high-quality telescope view with high resolution, including 16-bit in RAW. The resolution of photos using the CovalENS mosaic mode and panorama is from 12.5 to 50 megapixels. CovalENS also has image enhancement tools.

The lens features S-FPL52 lanthanum glass lenses with ultra-low dispersion in an apochromatic four-color configuration with field-of-view correction. The manufacturer claims that the optics and sensor placement are designed to deliver bright, vivid images.

The newest space telescope is a fully automatic station. Even a beginner will quickly master it and will be able to take excellent shots. It can track a space object by itself, keeping it in the center of the frame.

Vespera Pro space telescope price and release date

The Vespera PRO is available for $2,990 on Bhphotovideo.com, and it comes with a free Klean Kanteen Insulated Classic Water Bottle, valued at $35.

Vespera PRO includes a hygrometer that activates the anti-fog system when temperature and humidity reach a certain threshold.

The built-in 225 GB memory will last longer, and the battery provides up to 11 hours of continuous operation; if necessary, you can connect power via USB.

When folded, the space telescope measures 48 x 20 x 9 cm and weighs 5 kg. It comes with a tripod featuring telescopic legs and a hard case for protection.

Last year, Cytron Japan Co., Ltd. introduced the Player One Astronomy Artemis-C Pro and Artemis-M Pro cooled cameras, tailored to cater to the demanding realm of astrophotography. These two imaging devices both use Sony Four-Thirds format sensors. However, the key difference between the Player One Astro camera models is the specific sensors they use.
