Sony Xperia Z5, Z5 Premium and Z5 Compact Officially Launched at IFA 2015

After a long waiting, Sony officially unveiled the flagship Xperia Z5, Z5 Premium and Z5 Compact at IFA 2015 event in Berlin.

As expected, this year Sony brings 2 flagship version for worldwide users, including the Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z5 that we will see below.

Sony Xperia Z5:

Sony still uses the OmniBalance design for Xperia Z5 models, with square and angular rigidity, the chassis is made with a metal finishing. A notable thing is that the right next to the device include an integrated fingerprint sensor in Power button, traditionally, round power button has been removed. Instead, we have a streamlined and long key. The lower part includes volume increase/decrease keys and quick camera button.

Of course, the Sony Xperia Z5 is completely waterproof, IP65/68 Certification, similar to the current Sony devices.

The Xperia Z5 configuration parameters are not unexpected, the device comes with a 5.2 inch Full HD screen, the pixel density of 423ppi. Powered by 64-bit Snapdragon processor 810 Octa-core processor, quad-core Cortex-A57 and quad-core Cortex-A53.

Unfortunately the Xperia Z5 is equipped only a 3GB RAM, not really groundbreaking with 4GB RAM as the current leading models. 32GB of internal memory, comes with microSD card slot. a 2900mAh battery capacity, according to the manufacturer which can be last up to 2 days.

As for the camera, Xperia Z5 features a 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/ 2.3″ Exmor RS sensor and F/2.0 lens. Meanwhile, front camera with 5-megapixel, 25mm wide angle lens. Sony also said, the Sony Xperia Z5 camera is less with today’s fastest AF speed in smartphones, focused only in 0.03 seconds, supported 5x Clear Image Zoom no loss of image detail when zoom, shooting at high ISO sensitivity with 12800, and ISO 3200 for videos. In addition, Sony also improved optical image stabilizer and 4K video recording mode.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium:

Sony continues to surprise us with the most advanced smartphone model – Xperia Z5 Premium with 4K Display.

More specifically, the 4K screen of Xperia Z5 Premium uses an IPS panel with the Triluminos display technology. We can say, 4K resolution (3840×2160 pixels) defines 4 times higher than the Full HD resolution (1080p) that Sony has been fitted on the Xperia Z5.

Besides, the camera is also a major upgrade of the Xperia Z5 Premium. It features a 23-megapixel 1 / 2.3″ Exmor RS sensor same as Xperia Z5, but with 4K video recording capabilities. Sony have also been greatly improved the SteadyShot Mode and Active Mode in this upgrade, enabling users to shoot smooth and sharp videos, even in bright as well as light low conditions. While the ISO sensitivity is also same as the Xperia Z5.

For Xperia Z5 Premium specifications, include same 64-bit Snapdragon processor 810 Octa-core processor along with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory that can extend through the MicroSD card slot up to 200GB. Thus, you can enjoy 4K video recording without having to much worry about run of the memory.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium expected to launch in November, the price has not been disclosed yet. The device will be available in Dual and Single SIM versions with 4G LTE Cat 6 connectivity.

As every year, Sony usually gives their users a Compact version of the various Smartphone line. A device size is the biggest difference in this line, however, the design and configuration of the Compact version remain unchanged. And the Xperia Z5 Compact version is not included in the exceptions.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Compact will be available in four different colors such as Black, White, Yellow and Pink.

Like Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium, a baby version of the Z5 is also comes with a fingerprint sensor located in the power button. Moreover, the device also has a 23-megapixel rear which still capable of ultra-fast autofocus system in just 0.03 seconds.

Although the screen is a main difference only 4.6-inch display for Z5 Compact, but visually the Z5 Compact completely look same as Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium. But with its compact style, the users can comfortably and easily hold the device in the palm.
