The announcement of the new flagship Sony smartphones is coming, which will be Sony Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact (both names are not confirmed yet). Rumors about the news have accumulated a lot, and there were the first live images of the upcoming Xperia flagship.

By the way, it seems that the G8341 is just a compact version of the Sony Xperia XZ1, although it was previously claimed the opposite. The design of the front panel differs little from its predecessors, but the rear side looks quite different due to the new placement of the fingerprint scanner and camera module.
Oddness represents the size of the side frames, which differs in different pictures. The device with the rear fingerprint scanner indicated the narrow portion at display below. It looks like the new location of the scanner will be relevant only for the older version, and a compact version will get the old design concept. Perhaps the final version will be different, while the official announcement will be held on August 31 at IFA 2017.
