Sony Xperia XZ, XZ Premium, XZs, XA, X, L1 and Other Smartphones Tipped to Receive Android O Update

Google’s upcoming much-awaited Android O operating system is due to arrive this fall, but ahead of this the Japanese manufacturer, Sony has plans to bring the Android 8.0 update to its most of smartphones.

Sony include most of the smartphones, it released this and last year, excpet Sony Xperia XA. According to the Gazyekichi, Most of the smartphones have received Android O updates including:  Sony Xperia X Performance, Sony Xperia XZ, Sony Xperia XZs, Sony Xperia XZ Premium, Sony Xperia X, Sony Xperia X Compact, Sony Xperia XA1, Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra, and Sony Xperia L1.

All of the mentioned smartphones will get Android O update, but Sony has not shown any specific time for the update.

Android O, a new Android version was unveiled in March this year, and the naming of ‘O’ is still a mystery. Internal source code has revealed that Android O could be called the ‘Oatmeal Cookie’. Evidence was found in Android’s source code where mentions of ‘oc-dev’ have cropped up on several occasions. One of the highighted Android O features are picture-in-picture, autofill with Google, smart text selection, notification dots, and more.
