Sony Xperia E5, soon after few rumors and leaks, has now been listed on the company’s site. There is no official word on the pricing and availability details of the Xperia E5; though, we expect that the company will be announcing the smartphone in the coming days with an expected price tag of $221 in Black and White color variants.
Sony Xperia E5 features a 5.0-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) display and it is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor that’s backed by Mediatek MTK6735 chipset coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and ARM Mali-T720 GPU. It packs in 16GB of native storage and also supports external microSD card to add more memory up to 200GB.
On the camera front, the Xperia E5 flaunts a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera along with HDR, Clear image zoom and LED flash support and Auto Scene Recognition that automatically adjusts camera settings to suit your shot. There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for your selfie and video calling. The new Sony Xperia E series smartphone comes with dual and single SIM support (depends on region) and runs latest Android Marshmallow OS out of the box.
Connectivity options on the handset include 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Micro USB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack options. The Sony Xperia E5 packs a 2700mAh battery which is rated by the company to deliver up to 48 hours of battery life with moderate usage. New Sony Xperia Phones also comes with a G-sensor, proximity sensor, and an ambient light sensor.
